And it is a good day because it is finally a bit warmer (not 15 degrees this morning, but about 40!) We are about to go on a drive, which we haven't done in awhile.
How do you keep yourself positive?

1 Samuel 12:24
24: “Only fear the LORD, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.”
Comment:
If you have been following the last few days, you know that Samuel had been talking to the Israelites about all the Lord had done for them. He had referenced their time in the desert, the battles that they had fought and won with the Lord’s help and most recently the kingship of Saul.
The Israelites finally had an “aha” moment, realized their sinfulness and how they kept rebelling and leaving their Lord. They lament their wickedness and confess to Samuel that they “fear” that God cannot ever forgive them.
Yesterday, Samuel assured the people that God would forgive them, but once again reminded them that they needed to turn from their ways and serve the Lord. Today’s verse reiterates God’s promises.
The one thing I love about this verse, perhaps over some of the last few days offerings, is that it can so easily stand alone, and stand for today (and everyday) in my life. This is one I put on my mirror, my refrigerator, my dashboard, my computer, wherever my eyes fall. If only we could get this one verse, deeply imbedded in our hearts, remembering all He has done for us, we could surely walk in victory.
Lord, You have done so many things for me! When I do remember, it makes my heart so full I must find a way to serve You. I so want to share with others so they will “fear” and reverence You and walk with You forever. Amen.
